ChichiKids is Open!

Finally! I have opened my 2nd Etsy shop "ChichiKids"! There is a decent market for handmade baby items on Etsy and since I had so much fun sewing little things for Kelty and friends I thought I'd keep going and sell them on Etsy. I've just started listing my softies this evening ... the story behind the softie is in each of my listings. As soon as we get back to Tampa and I have access to my sewing machine I'll be able to list my personalized ribbon blankets. Feel free to check both my shops

Road Trip!

We spent the holiday weekend traveling to Altus, OK ... where we'll be spending the next 5 weeks in a rather small hotel room! A room gets pretty small pretty quick with 2 adults, 1 baby and 2 chihuahua's!

We broke the trip up into 3 shorter days which went pretty well. We stopped the first day in Pensacola and spent the evening with Rob and Amanda ... Kelty took his 1st boat trip! We had wonderful time and I think we could have stayed up all night talking and laughing ... we've known Rob since college and Amanda shortly there after. We left their house feeling completely rejuvenated!

The rest of the trip went well ... Kelty spent a good amount of time playing with his feet ... enjoy the video!

Precious!

Kelty seems to prefer sleeping on his side lately ... I have to admit, it's pretty darn cute! This is one of my favorites I took the other day. He was curled up with his new softie I made him ... I had a little fun with my camera too ... I love the "color accent" feature!

Eat Your Veggies!

We introduced Kelty to green beans yesterday. He is doing well with his solids ... rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, peas and now green beans. It appears that Kelty's least favorite is the green beans. I've tried several times to upload the video ... no luck. Just the post for today. :o)

Kelty's 1st Day Swimming

Kelty and I went to our first "playgroup" today ... we played in the pool with some of our friends from the squadron. Kelty absolutely loved it; no fussing, no tears ... all smiles and fun. We tried out his new pool float which he enjoyed from the minute I put him in it. Then we graduated to just some splashing and floating (under mommies care of course!) Kelty stretched right out on his back and even relaxed his head back ... we'll definitely be spending some quality time in the pool this summer! Here is a pic that Megan took ... thanks Megan!

Trying out Kelty's pool float ... I eventually let him sit in it without holding on to him.

Don't worry ... it wasn't hot in the hot tub ... it was like bath water. Megan caught Jane and I mid-conversation. :o) Kelty was chewing on my hand.

Trying Something New!

Some of you know that I attempted a "Clay Family Website" a few years ago ... if you've looked at it recently you'll see it hasn't been updated since 2006 ... so here is my second attempt and one that should be easier to keep up with. Someday I'll get around to updating our personal web page as well! My goal with this blog is to keep our family and friends updated on all the wonderful events in our life ... mostly Kelty's achievements of course!
